Too Much To Leave Behind

Can we work together,

To mend things all amiss..

I miss so much your gentle touch,

And your tender kiss.

There’s not enough to take along,

And yet I strangely find,

I miss the years when we were close,

Too much to leave behind.

The memory of the things we did,

And all the fun we had,

Before our dreams all crumbled,

And went from good to bad.

They keep tugging at the corners,

In far places of my mind,

There’s not enough to take along,

But too much to leave behind.
