If I Could

If I could catch a ray of sun,

It never could replace…

The joy I feel when I look down,

Upon your pretty face.

If I could light your path each night,

With moonlight from above…

I’d do it so that you could see,

You are my one true love.

If I could catch a moonbeam,

And hold it in my hand…

I’d craft it then into a ring,

A tiny golden band.

And place it very carefully,

Upon your finger dear…

A token of my love for you,

To say I want you near.
