 Only One
There is only one who
knows the things,
That we should say
and do,
Who knows when our
heart loudly
sings,
And knows when we are
blue.
He guides us with an
inner voice,
If we pause just to
listen;
And helps us make the
very best choice,
Of all those we are
given.
God only asks we do
our best,
And care for those
around us,
That we work hard to
pass the test,
From temptations that
surround us.
When we let his love
into our heart,
He helps us with each
task,
If only we will do
our part,
Forgiven is our
past.
Real happiness will
come our way,
When we reach and
take his hand,
Extended each and
every day,
To lead us to a
better land.
