The Two Seater

Today we celebrated

And burned the outhouse down,

With our new inside plumbing

We’re living right uptown.

Now we sit in comfort

Without that chilly draft,

That used to blow in under,

And also fore and aft!

The paper comes right off the roll,

With little or no fuss,

The catalog has gone its way,

It’s no more use to us.

The job that once took minutes

Has stretched to lengthy time,

And when I need to use it

I have to get in line.

The waiting is what bugs me

And though I know it’s neater,

There used to be, a lot more room

Out back in our two seater!
