When life
has finally flickered out, With breath of final sigh... It's
not the time to drown in grief, Nor even to ask
why. The memory of a loved one, Is like a favorite
song... Still touches hearts with gladness, Even though they
are gone. We can wallow in self pity, Let precious
days slip past... Or find comfort from memories, We built and
made to last. For life is like a flower, That
springs from tiny seed... To pass out love and sunshine, Share
with all those in need. To grow as only humans
can, To do each earthly chore... Until our bloom has
wilted, Not needed anymore. There is a path that we
can take, The choice must be our own... To make the most of
each day left, Till we too, are called
home. (c) 07/30/05 Loree (Mason)
