Tears That Fall

We all shed tears at sometime,

They overflow our eyes,

Some caused by pain that is intense,

While others may surprise.

A body’s safety valve it seems,

To ease pain that we feel,

A few tears or a flood of them,

But each of them so real.

Tears bring with them some comfort,

In loss of a loved one,

The pain of hurt is washed away,

With crying that is done.

Other tears that sting the eyes,

Are those when we are glad,

They seem to come from nowhere,

And do not mean we’re sad.

When you feel tears that are close,

Do not feel any shame,

For tears don’t make you different,

And life is just to blame.
